Greetings slightly scandalous veterinary professionals!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and partnered with us for the 2024 Vets Against Insanity CON in Nashville.

What can I say?

We had a ball.

A Veterinary Conference Like No Other

About 80 veterinary professionals joined us at the AC Hotel for the conference and RECOVER workshop and I have to tell you, they did not disappoint. Karen Bradley delivered a heart-felt, inspiring and authentic keynote on Friday night that really hit home for the attendees. She shared anecdotes from her beautiful life and career, helping us understand and overcome thorns like fear, failure, and feeling foolish.

Then we all went back to our rooms, put our costumes on, most likely pregamed, and gathered again for game night shenanigans sponsored by Triple Crown Equine Veterinary Services and

Torigen because they are that awesome.

Check out some awesome entries for the game night costume contest group:

beetlejuice and lydia
Lydia and Beetlejuice - group contest winner!

Team Wimmer coming in strong with Gangrene - third place group contest winner!

After Partying Responsibly....

It was time to learn!

On Saturday and Sunday we heard not-boring lectures on dermatology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, telemedicine, and confidence. We also had micro-wellness sessions where we practiced breath work, power poses, staying in the present moment, learned about our neuro-patterns, stacked our habits, and workshopped our ideal day.

Our teachers were, per the usual, awesome - thank you everybody for sharing your knowledge! As an aside we did not know that Darin Dell was so freaking funny or that Ken Yagi also had a hilarious streak in him. POWER POSE.

Yes, yes you are.

Saturday night about 30 of us headed downtown for party biking. Let's just say that downtown Nashville on a Saturday night is absolutely cray and we were glad to be on a bike with Gordo who scared the night creatures away. I don't know about the other bike, but the bike I was on had about 15 of the best karaoke singers we've ever sang with (and we had just met), resulting in an amazing choir belting out 'Man, I Feel Like a Woman' and 'I want to Dance with Somebody'. Thank you, our fellow partybikin', choir singin', beverage cheerin' new vet friends. You rock. SHIMMY.

Pretty much the vibe Saturday night.

Our CON guides showed up again with their matching blue tshirts, helping attendees, spreading joy with encouragements, assisting with wellness sessions, and just bringing good energy. Thank you to all the CON guides - we could not have done with without you.

And That's a Wrap

Thank you to everyone who took the time and money to travel to Nashville and play with us. Personally, I've never had so much fun at a conference (even at past VAI CONs) and I am so grateful to everyone who took a chance on something different. You brought amazingly good energy, and I hope the conference filled your cup as much as it filled mine.

Once again (and we can't say it enough) thank you to the businesses that partnered with us to bring joy, laughter, connection, and education to veterinary professionals.

You are the meow to our cat. Thanks for playing.

And that's all we have! Thank you again for everyone who came, who contributed their energy and good vibes, and for the most amazing group of attendees and exhibitors we could ask for.

All our slightly scandalous love to all of you. Thank you for supporting us. 🥰
