Sarah Wooten, DVM, CVJ
Dr. Sarah Wooten is a well known international influencer in the veterinary and animal health care spaces. She has 16 years experience in private practice and over 10 years experience in veterinary media work and is a certified veterinary journalist.
She is also passionate about helping pet parents learn how to care better for their fur friends, and has written thousands of web articles and filmed hundreds of videos about pet care and the human-animal bond. She has appeared on radio, podcasts, and multiple television news broadcasts across the country in her role as a veterinary expert, and has been featured in several magazines in the same role.
Dr. Wooten speaks to veterinary continuing education audiences about leadership, client communication, and personal development. In her spare time, she can be found skiing, fly fishing, golfing, and paddle boarding - all the fun things! Life is meant to be lived, so go out there and have some fun! Caitlin DeWilde, DVM
Dr. Caitlin DeWilde is a practicing veterinarian and the founder of The Social DVM, a consulting firm devoted to helping veterinary professionals learn how to manage and grow their social media, online reputation and marketing strategies. Working with large industry groups and individual practices alike, Caitlin and her team are passionate about translating the “geek speak” to “veterinary speak,” and helping vets reach more clients and pets.
Caitlin is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and a recipient of their Outstanding Young Alumni Award, and also an alum of the AVMA’s Future Leaders Program. She served as medical director for a large AAHA/Fear Free/Cat-Friendly certified hospital in St. Louis before stepping back to focus on her marketing passion. Today, she divides her time between practice, consulting, and writing. She is the author of a new book, “Social Media and Marketing for Veterinary Professionals,” and a columnist for Today’s Veterinary Business.

Kimberly-Ann-Therrien, DVM
A graduate of the University of Montreal, Dr. Kimberly-Ann Therrien moved her family from Canada and joined Banfield Pet Hospital in 2006 as an associate veterinarian. In 2008, she began her leadership journey within Banfield with her most recent promotion in 2017 to Vice President of Veterinary Quality. In this role, Dr. Therrien was responsible for ensuring high-quality medical care across 20 markets and 300+ hospitals within the Central and Midwest region. In 2021, Dr. Therrien accepted a new role as VP of Operations for the Southeast Region with BluePearl Specialty and Emergency.
Dr. Therrien is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association, and Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and serves as a board member of the Banfield Foundation since 2016. At the start of 2020, she assumed the role of president of the Women Veterinary Leadership Development Initiative (WVLDI). Most recently, Dr Therrien has also joined the newly formed AVMA DEI Commission as a founding board member as well as One Health Partners as a board member. Her passion for leadership and the many challenges that veterinarians face within the profession is what first led her to join WVLDI, and she is committed to helping shape the future of veterinary medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Therrien loves spending time enjoying the great outdoors and traveling with her two daughters and husband.
